Read the audit trail

Every change made in the console is written down, with who and when. Nothing in it can be edited or deleted. Who: administrator · Where in the cycle: Reconcile.

You need Read the audit trail (AUDIT_VIEW). By default only the Administrator role has it.

  1. Open Setup › Audit. The newest change is on top, 40 a page.
  2. To look at one kind of change, pick it under Action (for example Changed a role).
  3. Read each row: When, Who (and the action in words), What — a one-line summary, and for changes the before and after (“Added: …”, “Taken away: …”).
The Audit trail with 35 changes, newest first: the KEY-ACCOUNTS price list saved, REP-03's day signed off, cheque 100245 handed in, SLIP-001 cash, SO-000002 approved, confirmed and delivered, and RET-000001.

People and roles, exceptions, rep set-up; customers, branches and routes; products, units and prices; imports; company settings and logo; warehouses; integrations; orders approved, declined, confirmed, delivered and cancelled; payments taken in the console, reversals, cheques, cash handed in, days closed; returns; stock loads, counts and write-offs; targets.

After the Nile Fresh day the trail includes:

  • “Changed the company settings” — over the credit limit Block → Needs approval;
  • “Approved an order” — SO-000002;
  • “Handed in cash” — 700.00 EGP in from REP-03 on SLIP-001 (the slip number the cashier typed).

Nothing — reading changes nothing. The trail is kept forever.
