Check in 400 m from a shop

Suppose Omar taps Check in at Zamalek Corner while his phone puts him 400 m from the shop’s pin. The shop’s radius is 150 m. What happens next depends on one company rule, Checking in outside the shop’s radius. Who: rep and supervisor · Where in the cycle: Visit.

Nothing in this example moves stock or money: a check-in only starts a visit.

The top of the shop reads Away from the shop · 400 m from it · its radius is 150 m, in amber. Too far away? says “You can’t check in until you are within 150 m.”

The phone reads his location, compares it with the pin and stops. Too far from the shop: “You are 400 m from the shop. Your company allows check-in only within 150 m. Move closer and try again.” No visit starts, and nothing reaches the office.

Zamalek Corner's shop screen behind the Too far from the shop dialog: ‘You are 400 m from the shop. Your company allows check-in only within 150 m. Move closer and try again.’ with an OK button.
  1. Refused under Block: move closer

3 · He walks to the shop and checks in again

At the door the phone reads You’re at the shop · 12 m from it · inside its 150 m and the visit starts.

If Omar is already at the door and still 400 m away, the pin is in the wrong place. He tells the office, which moves it on the customer page (Manage a customer’s branches, credit and pins).

The phone asks instead of refusing. Away from the shop: “You are 400 m away. Give a reason to continue.” Omar types the Reason “Shop moved across the street” and taps Record visit. The visit starts, and selling opens there.

The Away from the shop dialog over Zamalek Corner's screen: You are 400 m away. Give a reason to continue, with an empty Reason box, Cancel, and Record visit greyed until a reason is typed.

At Omar’s next sync the visit reaches the office:

  • Field › Visits, with Today and Flagged only picked: Zamalek Corner, REP-03, In the time, Where “Outside the fence by 400 m” (the distance from the pin), the row tinted.
  • Dashboard › Needs you: Flagged visits 1. The rep’s row under Representatives counts it too.
  • The bell doesn’t count it: the bell lists visits with no location only.
Visits with four check-ins by REP-03; the Zamalek Corner row is flagged Outside the fence by 400 m, the others At the outlet.

The flag is a record, never a refusal: the visit and anything sold in it stand. If the shop really moved, the administrator moves the pin, and the next check-in reads “At the outlet”.
